H-E-B brand Extra Strength Gas Relief softgels distributed in H-E-B supermarkets in Texas, bears an unauthorized STAR-K.The product contains gelatin and is not Kosher.
Corrective action is being taken.

Please note that, effective Wednesday, November 29th, 2017, Filicori Zecchini Cafes located in Towson Town Center, and on Pratt Street in Baltimore, will no longer be Kosher certified. The company has decided to no longer retain any Kosher certification at these locations at this time.

Arumai brand Spice Mixes, distributed by Babco Foods International, Piscataway, NJ, bear an unauthorized STAR-K symbol. These products are not certified by STAR-K.
Some products, including Pulav Masala spice mix, contain dairy ingredients.
These are being sold in ethnic markets in the New Jersey area, and other locations. If you have used this brand, call your Rav or our office at 410-484-4110.
Corrective action is being taken.

Please note that Swiig Brand GET FLEXIBLE Dietary Supplement, distributed by Simple Again of Pottstown, PA, bears an unauthorized STAR-K symbol on labels displayed on some internet based retailer websites. This product is NOT Kosher. The actual product label currently available in the marketplace does not bear a STAR-K symbol.
Corrective action is being taken.

Please note the following update for the two Dunkin' Donuts stores under Rabbi Salfer's certification located at 7000 Reisterstown Road and 1508 Reisterstown Road, Baltimore, MD:
A new item, FROZEN COFFEE, is Dairy, Cholov Stam, due to the content of non-Cholov Yisroel cream. For those who keep Cholov Yisroel, request "only milk, no cream."

A listing in the most recent KASHRUS KURRENTS incorrectly identified Café K Coney Island as a STAR-D establishment. In fact, all Café K locations are under STAR-K, Cholov Yisroel certification.

Please note for all STAR-K certified Sabbath Mode appliances, we strongly advise you not to replace the incandescent bulb that came with your appliance (refrigerator, oven) with the newer LED bulbs.

Please note that MARQUIS brand canned CHUNK LIGHT TUNA, imported from China by Royal Food Import Corp., Boston, MA, states "STAR-K" on the back of the can. This statement is unauthorized as this product is not Kosher certified.

It came to our attention last year that two large beer distribution companies, who are the exclusive distributors of their brands in Baltimore, are Jewish owned. Due to numerous challenges, a proper Mechiras Chometz was not possible for this year. As a result, many brands of beer sold in our area will be “Chometz She’avar Alav HaPesach”. The problematic beer supplies will not be depleted until sometime in June. Please check our website after June 1st for an update. Until that time, the beers on the list HERE should not be purchased. All other brands are permitted.
The above information applies only to Baltimore City and Baltimore County and the other counties listed in the alert. Montgomery County is NOT affected by this alert. We do not have any information about beers sold outside of Maryland.
PLEASE NOTE: UNION CRAFT BREWERY IS PROHIBITED EVERYWHERE (EVEN MONTGOMERY COUNTY).

A letter of certification issued to Farbe Munchen de Mexico, of Mexico City, ostensibly by STAR-K, is forged. The certificate lists colors and extracts under the brand name Farbe. STAR-K has never certified this company.

Please be aware that Lunch Buddies brand diced peaches in plastic cups, sold at Aldi's, bear an unauthorized STAR-K. This product contains grape juice of unknown origin and should not be used.

Please be aware that red, yellow and orange peppers, as well as other fruits and vegetables from Israel, are consistently being sold in the Baltimore area at produce markets in our neighborhood. From the numerous inquiries we have received, it is apparent that many consumers are unaware of this when shopping. Other examples of produce commonly from Israel are carrots, citrus fruits, persimmons, pomegranates, dates, dill and parsley.

The packages or labels state "Product of Israel." These vegetables require teruma and maaser to be taken. The procedure is listed on our website.
